Eva Nyakaisiki

Eva is currently a Grants Manager at the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) in Kampala, Uganda.

She has over seven years’ work experience in grants/projects and financial management. As a grants manager, responsibilities include managing a team of eight staff in the Grants Unit, budgeting, contracting/negotiations, financial tracking of expenses, presentation of financial information at meetings, financial reporting among other duties throughout the grants cycle.

Eva has managed projects from multiple funders: CDC, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, EDCTP, DoD, MRC, CSF, Government of Uganda, USAID, CIPLA, Universities, Foundations among others. Prior to joining IDI, Eva worked as part of the internal audit department at Pride MFI Limited in Uganda. Responsibilities included (but not limited to) review of loan client files, field audit assignments, internal control checks. This was done to ensure that risk is maintained at the minimum acceptable level within the institution.
